  • Account Information: Email address, pet name, pet breed, and pet age
  • Usage Data: Activity logs, task completion, and app interactions
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version
  • Payment Information: Processed securely through Apple App Store (we do not store payment details)
  • AI Chat Data: Messages you send to Dr. Tail, pet information you provide for personalized advice, and conversation history to maintain context

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide personalized training plans for your pet
  • Improve our AI assistant (Dr. Tail) responses
  • Track your progress and provide insights
  • Send important updates and notifications
  • Improve app performance and user experience

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service Providers: Firebase (Google), RevenueCat for subscriptions, and analytics services
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

4. Third-Party Services We Use

Anthropic (Claude AI)

We use Anthropic's Claude AI to power "Dr. Tail," our AI pet behaviorist chat feature. When you use Dr. Tail:

  • Information Shared: Your chat messages and questions, pet information (name, type, breed, age, training challenges), and recent conversation history (last 5 messages for context)
  • Purpose: To provide personalized, AI-powered pet training advice and behavioral guidance
  • Data Retention: Chat data is processed by Anthropic to generate responses. According to Anthropic's privacy policy, API data is not used to train their models and is retained for a limited period for security and abuse prevention
  • Your Rights: You can delete your chat history by deleting your account through the app's Profile settings

Meta/Facebook SDK

We use Facebook's Software Development Kit (SDK) for analytics and advertising measurement.

  • Information Shared: App usage events (app opens, screen views), purchase events (subscription starts, upgrades), device identifiers (subject to your App Tracking Transparency permission), app version and device type
  • Purpose: To measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and understand how users discover and use our app
  • Your Control: You can limit tracking through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → PetLingo (toggle off), or by declining the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt when first launching the app. When you opt out of tracking, we cannot share your device identifier with Facebook, though some anonymized usage data may still be collected for app functionality

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Secure authentication through Firebase
